Christopher MillsChristopher is a Court of Protection appointed Deputy for many of our clients who lack mental capacity to manage their own financial affairs.   Christopher has also been instructed by the Official Solicitor to act in legal matters on behalf of vulnerable adults who lack capacity to make decisions this included representing one of our clients who needed a divorce after losing capacity to legally represent himself after his accident.

Christopher Mills is the head of our Private Client department, based in our Cirencester office. He has been with us since the spring of 2012, having previously been a partner in a large Bristol firm.

Christopher qualified in 1994 and brings a wealth of legal experience to the firm. A long-standing member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Christopher is recognised throughout the firm as an authority on all aspects of Deputyship, Court of Protection, Personal Injury Trusts, Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Inheritance tax issues.

Christopher also regularly applies for Statutory Wills for clients that have lost capacity to make a Will which would reflect their wishes.

Christopher is responsible for managing the private client team as well as overseeing the firm’s financial health in his capacity as COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration).

Outside work, Christopher enjoys getting out and about in the countryside around his home and can often be found with his nose buried in an auction sale catalogue.
